Today the scariest, most terrifying, thing happened to me. I am still sick to my stomach writing this and it happened a few hours ago already…. The day started like any other, Manuel is home from work today because yesterday was a holiday and why work one day before the weekend? I ran to the mall right when it opened because I was out of makeup. After using my German skills to let the sales lady know what type of makeup I needed, I paid and then went to pick up pictures I had ordered online from another store. After…
Happy Mother’s Day!
Hey all! It has been raining here for the last week or so, with very few breaks. Gosh am I ready for summer! The crazy thing is, when it rains here, snails and worms cover the sidewalks. It is really gross! And it doesn’t help that Charlie wants to try to eat all of them. My dad suggested that I take them and saute them with garlic and have a nice little meal…. No thanks Dad 🙂 Charlie has been getting accustomed to the day to day life with us. He truly is one of the best behaved puppies I…
Charlie is finally here!
Charlie has finally arrived! However, I should probably not only talk about him the entire post so we will get back to him later. My German language course has been going well. German is an awfully hard language to learn and it floors me that some people who are in the course with me have been living in Germany for over 3 years and they still speak less German than I do. I can’t imagine…

I had went the previous week to take a test to determine my level and was put into a class that started back at the beginning of February since I tested at A2. When I first arrived at the school I had been told to go to room 401. Since I had to take the train, I was about 30 minutes early so I sat down in the room to wait. A few people began to come…
Augsburg
I am exhausted. I am not sure if that’s because we spent Friday and Saturday putting together furniture or the fact that I am getting sick. Either way I am thankful that Sundays here are truly a day of rest! On Friday I took the train to Augsburg in order to visit a language school there. I took a placement test to see if I could get into a higher class and luckily I tested at the A2 level. Since I tested at this level I will be able to join a class that started back in February. But I…
