I am exhausted. I am not sure if that’s because we spent Friday and Saturday putting together furniture or the fact that I am getting sick. Either way I am thankful that Sundays here are truly a day of rest! On Friday I took the train to Augsburg in order to visit a language school there. I took a placement test to see if I could get into a higher class and luckily I tested at the A2 level. Since I tested at this level I will be able to join a class that started back in February. But I…
Happy Easter!
Happy Easter! It is crazy that it’s already April and Easter is upon us. It doesn’t really feel like Easter here since it is (still) snowing… I am ready for Spring weather! This week I have gotten an outpouring of support from readers of my blog- and it made me feel awesome! Here I thought I was writing about my adventures only for my family. Clearly that’s not the case- if you are reading this then Thank You! Thank you for caring enough about me to take time out of your busy day to catch up on my life. I…
Apartment Hunting
I am a few days late with this post but it has been pretty busy here! Last weekend, we were sure we were going to move to Stuttgart. Then on Monday Manuel received another job offer in Augsburg. After thinking about it for a week, he has decided to take the job in Augsburg and will sign the contract on Thursday. He will mainly be working on designing and building engines- from a small engine up to huge ship engines. I think he is pretty excited about it! Since he will start the 1st of May, we have been frantically…
Finally an Offer!
Last Monday, Manuel and I traveled to Stuttgart for a doctors appointment of mine. Although the appointment wasn’t fun (and we didn’t really find any of the answers we were looking for) spending the day in Stuttgart was a good time. We walked to the town center and got sushi for lunch, oh how I have missed sushi! And then we window shopped in the afternoon. Although it was a fun day, after 4.5 hours in the car we were happy to be back. Early on Tuesday we set out for Munich for an interview for Manuel. While he was…
The Waiting Game
We are still waiting around for Manuel to find out about a job. He was offered a temporary position that he will be able to work at until he hears back about a full time position. This waiting game is awful. Seriously! He first started interviewing with the company in Stuttgart the first week in January. It’s now 2.5 months later and still he is waiting on their final answer. Being in Human Resources I can’t imagine taking that long to let someone know about a position! Oh well.. Until we find out I am glad that he has a…
