This is the first year I have decorated for Valentine’s Day and I am super happy with how it turned out! These Easy Valentine’s Day Decor projects were done with the Cricut Joy and were quick and simple. In total, it took me about 1 hour to do everything.
Valentine’s Decor Hand Towel – Cricut Joy
I saw a similar design to this on Pinterest and loved how the words repeated each other in different colors. The bubble letters make it easy to read from far away and gives it a vintage vibe.
I chose to use a simple white hand towel, and red, dark pink and neon pink iron-on. I cut out and weeded everything first. You will want to double check that the design is mirror, if you plan to use iron-on. Also, you will want to place the iron-on sheets with the SHINY SIDE DOWN! I always forget this and end up having to re-do at least one haha.
Shop the Supplies I Used:
After I had everything cut out, I started at the top with the red “Be Mine” and ironed that on first. I always just use my standard iron and make sure that the steam function is completely off. But make sure to check with the instructions for your specific iron-on brand!
I worked my way down the design, slightly overlapping each new word with the last. It’s also important that you make sure to cover the previous words with the plastic before you iron. If you try to iron without the plastic, it normally will smear the letters.
I absolutely love the way it turned out! It was such a quick and easy Cricut Joy project that is perfect for Valentine’s Day! You could give it as a gift or keep it for yourself!
Here are the fonts that I used in case you can’t open the design:
Bubble letters: Candice Regular
Cursive letters: Hey Marilyn
Valentine’s Decor Heart Garland – Cricut Joy
To add a bit more to our coffee bar space, I wanted to add a quick garland. I just used some printed craft paper that I already had, used the heart shape in Design Space, and added little holes for the string to go through, then I strung them up and taa-daa! It looked really good over the towel!
What do you think? I would love to see your work if you try this project out! Just tag me @madisonfichtl on Instagram – I can’t wait to see what you come up with!
